This digital accessibility statement applies to the website www.xxl-kuechen-ass.de and https://xxl-kuechen-ass.de/en/.

1. Creation of the Accessibility Statement

The basis for the accessibility requirements is derived from Section 3(2) of the Federal Act on the Provision of Information and Communication Services (BFSG).
This statement was first created on June 25, 2025, and last updated on June 27, 2025.
The following methodology was used for the assessment:

Self-assessment (using the following web accessibility evaluation tools: https://accessibe.com/ and https://accessibilitycheck.friendlycaptcha.com/ based on the following standards: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 (Level AA).

2. Status of Compliance with Requirements

These requirements are currently not fully met. We intend to achieve full compliance by fall 2025.

3. Accessibility Limitations

The following content or sections are not accessible:

The cookie banner used (provider: Borlabs Cookie) is not yet fully accessible; a solution is currently being developed.
Not all uploaded videos have captions or audio descriptions. For newly uploaded videos and media, we ensure the highest possible level of accessibility.
Semantic information (“name,” “role,” “value”) has not been used correctly on all pages and menu items.

The embedded rating widget (provider: Elfsight) may not meet all requirements for display and contrast ratio to ensure full accessibility.

The online shop section powered by WooCommerce is not yet fully accessible; for example, some elements do not yet have the required roles and aria labels specifically for use with screen readers.

The contrast ratio of the breadcrumb in the product view of items in the online shop may not yet be sufficient. A solution is being worked on.

The appointment booking feature on our website (provider: SimplyBook.me) is not fully accessible in all areas. An accessible version of the feature is currently being developed.

Some older PDF documents are not yet accessible. For newly created PDF documents, we ensure the best possible accessibility.

Embedded iframe codes may not yet have the necessary title elements and aria labels for full accessibility, due to external factors that cannot be directly modified. We are working toward a solution to achieve the greatest possible accessibility in this area.
